Former senate president Ken Nnamani calls for restructuring of Enugu state APC

The for senate president, senator Ken Nnamani said party members should be determined to increase the support base of the APC in Enugu state. While complaining of the inability of APC to win elections in the state, he said that only competent members should be allowed to lead the party in the state. India submit expression of interest to host 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Tuesday submitted an expression of interest to host the Under-20 FIFA World Cup in 2019. Bracing up to organise the U-17 World Cup later this year, AIFF president Praful Patel stated that this would be the next "logical step for the development of football in India". "With India hosting the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 this year in October, we feel hosting the U-20 World Cup would be the best way to sustain the footballing momentum in India. Even though the event was held earlier this year in Asia in Korea Republic, we would be happy to discuss with FIFA about the possibility of hosting the event in India in 2019," he said. Donald Trump is just six Senate votes from impeachment, according to an analyst at a prominent independent think-tank. Support for the President among Republican Senators has waned to the extent that Mr Trump is likely to only hang onto his seat by six votes, according to Elaine Kamarck of the Washington-based research group The Brookings Institution. Ms Kamarck, who is director of the Centre for Effective Public Management, said 12 Republican Senators had "no fear of the President" and had indicated they could vote against him in a vote. Among the Senators likely to rebel was John McCain, who delivered the killer blow to Mr Trump's replacement for Obamacare, Ms Kamarck said in an article on the think-tank's website. The US constitution allows Congress to remove a president before they have completed their term if enough members vote to say they committed "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanours".
