Antonio Conte has been named as one of the favourites to become the next Italy boss after the Chelsea manager's name was thrown into the mix.
The Azzurri did not make the 2018 World Cup after losing to Sweden in their play-off, the first time they have not reached the major tournament since 1958, which led to Gian Piero Ventura departing his role as head coach.
Conte, who left the role after taking Italy to the quarter-finals of the 2016 Euros, has automatically been a name put forward for the role and it's been revealed that the Italian is one of the favourites for the job.
Roberto Mancini and Massimiliano Allegri are managers also expected to be discussed with the national team decide who they want as the new man in charge.
Chelsea are reportedly expected knock back advances from Italy should they come for the former national boss.
