Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly given his seal of approval to pursue Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford at the end of the campaign. The England international has shown tremendous development over the past year, and he is now a regular starter for both club and country.
According to Don Balon, the Spanish giants have underlined the need to bring a new marksman next summer with Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane at the top of their shortlist. However, they do have a backup plan in hand with Rashford earmarked as a player, Ronaldo would prefer working with.
Rashford has been the regular choice for Premier League duties ahead of Anthony Martial this term, and he recently earned his maiden Champions League start in the 1-0 triumph over Benfica, in which he scored.
The club graduate already has six goals in the current league season, and he looks on course to break last season’s tally of 11 strikes with the vast number of creative talents in the United ranks.
Rashford’s current deal at Old Trafford runs until the summer of 2020, and it is highly unlikely that Mourinho would do any outward business with Real for a player, who has the potential to become world class.

The 19-year-old is currently on the lower end of United’s wage structure, but a recent report has suggested that he could be rewarded with an improved contract on his 20th birthday at the end of month.
