Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo thinks Lionel Messi faces Barcelona woes

Lionel Messi

Spanish media outlet Don Balon say Ronaldo is confident Real have a far stronger squad than their arch-rivals.
Real secured Champions League and Premier League glory last term.

And Ronaldo is reportedly confident his side can have another triumphant season.

Don Balon say the Portuguese is well aware of Messi’s woes with the Argentina national team.

Their 2018 World Cup qualifying struggles continued with a 1-1 home draw against Venezuela last night.

Argentina are fifth in the South American standings with two games remaining.

The top four qualify automatically - the fifth-placed team face a two-leg play-off against New Zealand.

Don Balon believe Ronaldo views the World Cup as the game changer for individual honours this summer.

And with Barca expected to languish behind Real, Ronaldo reckons Messi will need to dazzle for his national team.

The former Manchester United forward thinks the pressure is off him on the international stage.

Ronaldo helped guide Portugal to glory at Euro 2016 last year.

He limped off in the final against France but was an instrumental figure for his homeland throughout the tournament.
