Two of those are said to be prime targets to replace Michael Carrick, who is expected to leave the club next summer.
SAUL NIGUEZ and RADJA NAINGGOLAN are the duo Jose Mourinho is considering bringing in to fill the gap that will be left in central midfield, says the Daily Star.
Niguez is a 22 year-old Spanish international, currently playing for Atletico Madrid. United could have to shell out a significant sum to entice his current club to sell as the midfielder signed a new nine year deal this summer, keeping him there until 2026. He joined Atletico's academy in 2007.
Nainggolan, meanwhile, is a 29 Belgian international, who has been playing for Roma since 2014. He has long been admired throughout the game as an all-round midfielder, capable of contributing to defence and attack.
The third player United have been tipped with is a winger - ANDRIJA ZIVKOVIC. The Serbian is making waves for current club Benfica and is seen as one of the best young talents in the Portuguese league, having already impressed in Serbia when he became the youngest captain in Partizan Belgrade's history at just 17.
Mourinho will be able to personally run the eye over Zivkovic when United travel to face Benfica in the Champions League on October 18.
Meanwhile, KEVIN DE BRUYNE's £6million-a-year wages could almost double as Manchester City prepare to start contract talks with the 26-year-old, the Daily Telegraph says. With other clubs likely eyeing the midfielder, who has made an impressive start to the season, City are looking to make sure the Belgian stays at the Etihad Stadium.
Leicester have fought off interest from both Bournemouth and Tottenham to hold on to England Under-21 winger DEMARAI GRAY, according to the Daily Mirror. Gray, currently on a £25,000-a-week contract, appears to have been swayed to stay at the Foxes by a bumper long-term contract. After making a minimal number of starts last season, the Foxes now seem keen to make the 21-year-old a bigger fixture in the team. With more talks expected, Gray could sign the deal this week.
DELE ALLI will become one of Tottenham's top earners after the player opened talks with the club over a pay rise, the Sun reports. Despite only agreeing to new terms last year, Spurs want to ensure their star midfielder is happy and are willing to pay more than £100,000 a week to keep the player tied to the club for the longer term, the paper says. The rise would put him in line with team-mates Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris.
ALEXIS SANCHEZ is on the radar of Real Madrid, according to Spanish news group Don Balon. Come the January transfer window, the Arsenal star could be swapping his red shirt for white, reports say. Questions remain over where any possible move would leave Karim Benzema in the Spanish giants' team.
