Madrid never lost any confidence

Real Madrid ‘never lost any confidence’ despite a slow start to their La Liga campaign, according to playmaker Isco.

Zinedine Zidane’s side have failed to win any of their three league games at the Bernabeu this season, leaving them seven points off league leaders Barcelona.

However, two successive victories in the space of a week at Alaves and Borussia Dortmund appears to have calmed the situation at the club.

“We never lost any confidence during our poor streak,” Isco is quoted as saying by Marca.

“It was a fantastic match against Dortmund, a ground where we had never won before so it was very important for us.
“We were able to showcase our ability and it was a fantastic game to build our confidence further.

“Our La Liga results have not been good enough but also they are not an accurate reflection of our performances as everyone can see we have created chances, we’ve just missed that killer edge.”
