According to reports, Barcelona are accepting that they may not be able to sign Philippe Coutinho and are now looking at alternative options.
The Spanish giants had reportedly been considering the Brazilian as a replacement for Neymar, who has joined PSG in a World record deal.
Liverpool however have maintained that they are not willing to sell the 25-year-old Coutinho and have so far rejected three moves from the Spanish giants though a fourth may arrive.
Coutinho even handed in a transfer request to try and force through a move but it now appears that Barcelona have accepted that a deal may not happen.
The Catalan giants will now need to look elsewhere for targets to bolster their side for the new season.
They have also strongly been linked with Borussia Dortmund star Ousmane Dembele who is also said to be keen on a move. Despite the struggles, Barcelona are likely to sign new faces before the end of the current transfer window.
