Karim Benzema 'to sign new five-year deal at Real Madrid' to confirm stay even if Kylian Mbappe joins

Karim Benzema is reportedly poised to sign a new five-year contract with Real Madrid.
The deal would confirm Benzema's future at the Bernabeu even if Kylian Mbappe joins in a world record transfer from Monaco later this summer.
Benzema, 29, has two years left on his current deal with Real but is set to sign a bumper extension - in turn increasing the chances of Gareth Bale's departure.
A five-year deal would take Benzema's stay in the Spanish capital to the back end of his career.
Marca report that manager Zinedine Zidane is keen to keep Benzema in the team as he sees his approach to the game as integral to his style of play.
Benzema has scored 47 goals for Real in all competitions since Zidane took over as manager two years ago.
Zidane did hint on Wednesday night that he was fearful that one of his front line would leave the club this summer.

It is looking increasingly likely that Bale could be the name to depart, with Premier League clubs still assessing his progress.
"I hope that BBC remains, hopefully all of them will stay," Zidane said when quizzed on the futures of Bale, Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.
