Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata will reportedly complete his move to Manchester United 'in the next 48 hours.'
The Spain international has been strongly linked with a reunion with his former boss Jose Mourinhothis summer and according to Diario Gol , a deal will be announced within 48 hours.
This report comes after the 24-year-old broke off his honeymoon early in order to try and speed up a move to Old Trafford.
Morata left his new wife Alice Campello in Ibiza after becoming frustrated that the transfer was taking so long as he looks to leave the Bernabeu after finding first-team opportunities limited with the European champions.
The striker is keen to complete his move before Mourinho recalls his players for pre-season training on July 8, while Real are in no hurry to sell him.
They are happy to hold on to him until after the UEFA Super Cup clash with United in Skopje on August 8 as they believe they will be able to get a higher fee for the player they re-signed from Juventus a year ago.
Morata's new wife recently followed Manchester United on Instagram and if United land their man, Morata will be back with the man who made his debut as the Red Devils plan for life after Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
United made Victor Lindelof their first summer signing this year, when they shelled out £31million to Benfica to secure the services of the Swedish centre-back.
They have also been strongly linked with a move for another of Mourinho's former charges, Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic.
