Vincent Enyeama has revealed on social media that any decision in regards to his return to the Nigerian national team is not in his control.
The 34-year-old retired from international football in 2015, having had an ugly public spat with Sunday Oliseh, who was Nigeria’s coach at the time.
However, Allnigeriasoccer.com has reported that Enyeama could make a return to the team under new coach Gernot Rohr.
Judging by Enyeama’s response, it seems he may be open to a return to the national side, but the decision ultimately rests with Rohr and the Nigerian Football Federation.
The Lille player has been named in CAF’s Team of the Year no less than three times and has featured in Nigeria’s squads at three World Cups, five Africa Cup of Nations and the last Confederations Cup.
